Last week, information appeared that ASRock, as a partner, released its own Intel Arc A380 Challenger ITX graphics card, which turned out to be quite modest in terms of the cooling system. And today, on August 8, the first tests of this video card in several popular video games appeared on the network (surprisingly, even top AAA-level video games were launched during the test) and the 3DMark benchmark. And while the end results look pretty good when running this new product in Full HD resolution, the closest competitor in the face of GUNNIR turned out to be better, as was the cooling system.
It should be noted right away that the Intel Arc A380 Challenger ITX video card by ASRock worked at a higher frequency than stated by the manufacturer for the reference model. Intel claims an operating frequency of the GPU at 2250 MHz, while in tests a non-reference video card ran at 2450 MHz. As a result, in the 3DMark Time Spy benchmark, the ASRock video card scored 4426 points, while the GUNNIR model on the same chip showed 5000 points. However, it is very likely that during the first tests of the model from GUNNIR, special drivers were used, which are better tailored specifically for benchmarks.

However, for most users, these points will not give anything. Another thing is games. In simpler projects like CS: GO and Dota 2, the video card demonstrates a frame rate that is suitable even for e-sports – in the main competitive shooter of the world, FPS exceeded 160 frames, which is very worthy. In APEX the situation is a little worse, only 90 frames, but it’s more than playable. In AAA projects, of course, the situation is noticeably worse, since, unfortunately, the video card cannot reach the coveted 60 FPS at 1080p. In Cyberpunk 2077, she showed 47 frames – you can certainly play at such a frequency, but the video card is not designed to conquer such releases.

Surprisingly, the model does not even have problems with cooling – in the Furmark test, after a long load, the video card showed 78 degrees on the chip, which is quite comparable to NVIDIA’s counterparts with a single fan in the cooling system. At the same time, the cost of an ASRock video card in China is currently about $ 190 – not to say that this is a completely budget option, but for such a price, the video card gives enough performance in games.
