Best Realme Phones: Which One To Buy For 2022 Not To Regret

Realme is a relatively young brand, but its smartphones quickly took over the market thanks to their excellent price-performance ratio. The company focuses mainly on budget segments, but it also has expensive models that look no worse than competitors. This article has collected good but inexpensive Realme smartphones, as well as its flagships – only the best models worth buying at the end of 2021. All prices are taken from the e-Katalog.

Realme C21

From 8 640 rubles

  • Display: 6.5 inches, 1600 × 720, IPS, 60 Hz.
  • Processor: MediaTek Helio G35, 12nm, 4 × 2.3 GHz (Cortex-A53) + 4 × 1.8 GHz (Cortex-A53).
  • RAM: 3/4 GB.
  • Storage: 32/64 GB, microSD memory cards.
  • Main camera: 13 MP (f / 1.8) + 2 MP (f / 2.4, macro) + 2 MP (f / 2.4, monochrome).
  • Front camera: 5 MP (f / 2.2).
  • Battery: 5000 mAh, 10 W, microUSB.
  • NFC chip: yes.
  • Pre-installed operating system: Android 10, realme UI.

Realme C21 is almost the most successful of the company’s current smartphones, which looks more advantageous even than models from the eminent Xiaomi. At its ultra-budget price, it offers up to 4GB of RAM and NFC support for contactless payments, which sets it apart from almost all competitors. The smartphone has a modern, but economical processor – you can’t play heavy games, but in everyday work it shows itself with dignity. But low power consumption has a positive effect on autonomy – thanks to such a chipset, a 5000 mAh battery and a low resolution, the smartphone works for a long time without recharging (one of the record holders in the Treshbox autonomy test).

Realme Narzo 50A

From 12 860 rubles

  • Display: 6.5 inches, 1600 × 720, IPS, 60 Hz.
  • Processor: MediaTek Helio G85, 12nm, 2×2.0GHz (Cortex-A75) + 6×1.8GHz (Cortex-A55).
  • RAM: 4 GB.
  • Storage: 64/128 GB, microSD memory cards.
  • Main camera: 50 MP (f / 1.8) + 2 MP (f / 2.4, macro) + 2 MP (f / 2.4, depth sensor).
  • Front camera: 8 MP (f / 2.0).
  • Battery: 6000 mAh, 18 W, USB-C.
  • NFC Chip: no.
  • Pre-installed operating system: Android 11, realme UI 2.0.

Now Realme is actively promoting the Narzo line and, apparently, wants to make a separate sub-brand out of it, offering users the best price-performance ratio, as well as an eye-catching design. Narzo 50A is a complete copy of Realme C25s with an identical price, except for two but: the design is really unusual (and this is important for many in the era of identical remnants), and the main camera is better. The main 50-megapixel module in Narzo 50A is only 2 megapixels larger than that of the Realme C25s, and with the same characteristics, but this is a new sensor from Samsung, and it shoots a little better – the review showed this. If we characterize the smartphone as a whole, this is a strong model with a good processor for its segment and a decent camera, but most importantly – stunning autonomy (30 hours of video playback on a single charge in the Treshbox test). The only drawback is the lack of NFC for contactless payments.

Realme 8

From 16 190 rubles

  • Display: 6.4 inches, 2400 × 1080, Super AMOLED, 60 Hz.
  • Processor: MediaTek Helio G95, 12nm, 2 × 2.05 GHz (Cortex-A76) + 6 × 2.0 GHz (Cortex-A55).
  • RAM: 6 GB.
  • Storage: 128 GB, microSD memory cards.
  • Main camera: 64 MP (f / 1.79) + 8 MP (f / 2.25, ultra wide-angle) + 2 MP (f / 2.4, macro) + 2 MP (f / 2.4, monochrome).
  • Front camera: 16 MP (f / 2.45).
  • Battery: 5000 mAh, 30 W, USB-C.
  • NFC chip: yes.
  • Pre-installed operating system: Android 11, realme UI 2.0.

The smartphones described above were created and oriented right away as affordable models, but Realme 8 is already a completely different level. There is a high-quality display, and Super AMOLED (richer in color than IPS), cameras that satisfy the needs of social networks and sufficient performance (but you still can’t play the most difficult games with comfort). The only drawback is the usual refresh rate of the display (60 Hz), while competitors have long had screens at 90 Hz and even 120 Hz (but most often IPS).

Realme 8 Pro

From 19 010 rubles

  • Display: 6.4 inches, 2400 × 1080, Super AMOLED, 60 Hz.
  • Processor: Snapdragon 720G, 8nm, 2 × 2.3 GHz (Kryo 465 Gold) + 6 × 1.8 GHz (Kryo 465 Silver).
  • RAM: 6 GB.
  • Storage: 128 GB, microSD memory cards.
  • Main camera: 108 MP (f / 1.88) + 8 MP (f / 2.25, ultra wide-angle) + 2 MP (f / 2.4, macro) + 2 MP (f / 2.4, monochrome).
  • Front camera: 16 MP (f / 2.45).
  • Battery: 4500 mAh, 50 W, USB-C.
  • NFC chip: yes.
  • Pre-installed operating system: Android 11, realme UI 2.0.

The prefix “Pro” usually means that one or more key characteristics have been slightly improved. In the case of Realme 8 Pro, everything is exactly like this: the smartphone has a more efficient processor, a significantly better main camera and much faster charging (50 W versus 30 W, or 50% in 17 minutes versus 26 minutes). The only omission compared to the regular Realme 8 is that the battery is 500 mAh less, and in practice this really affects, but not too noticeably. If there is an opportunity to buy the Pro version, it is better to make just such a choice.

Realme GT Master Edition

From 24 740 rubles

  • Display: 6.43 inches, 2400 × 1080, Super AMOLED, 120 Hz.
  • Processor: Snapdragon 778G 5G, 6nm, 4 × 2.4 GHz (Kryo 670) + 4 × 1.9 GHz (Kryo 670).
  • RAM: 6/8 GB.
  • Storage: 128/256 GB.
  • Main camera: 64 MP (f / 1.8) + 8 MP (f / 2.3, ultra wide-angle) + 2 MP (f / 2.4, macro).
  • Front camera: 32 MP (f / 2.5).
  • Battery: 4300 mAh, 65 W, USB-C.
  • NFC chip: yes.
  • Pre-installed operating system: Android 11, realme UI 2.0.

Each manufacturer has its own price bracket, up to which models are offered with obvious compromises, and after that – the most balanced smartphones without conspicuous flaws. In this case, the boundary of this bar is below the Realme GT Master Edition, since at its relatively low price the smartphone has no weak points (for the average user): a powerful sub-flagship processor, which is enough for any games; high-quality display with a frequency of 120 Hz; super fast charging. The only catch is not the best camera (good during the day, but weak at night). Other disadvantages are insignificant: lack of stereo sound and protection from dust / moisture ingress.

Realme gt

From 34 690 rubles

  • Display: 6.43 inches, 2400 × 1080, Super AMOLED, 120 Hz.
  • Processor: Snapdragon 888 5G, 5nm, 1 × 2.84 GHz (Kryo 680) + 3 × 2.42 GHz (Kryo 680) + 4 × 1.8 GHz (Kryo 670).
  • RAM: 8 GB.
  • Storage: 128 GB.
  • Main camera: 64 MP (f / 1.8) + 8 MP (f / 2.3, ultra wide-angle) + 2 MP (f / 2.4, macro).
  • Front camera: 16 MP (f / 2.5).
  • Battery: 4500 mAh, 65 W, USB-C.
  • NFC chip: yes.
  • Pre-installed operating system: Android 11, realme UI 2.0.

The Realme GT costs three times the price of a premium iPhone, but this is the best smartphone Realme has. It has a flagship processor, a really good main camera (great for portraits), and an excellent display. But Snapdragon 888 does not spare anyone – the chipset is too demanding, and the battery life of the smartphone is rather low, you should not count on more than a day of active use. Of course, this model does not become on a par with the best smartphones from Apple, Samsung or Google, but this is an excellent option for those who want to get a large supply of performance for years to come and the ability to take high-quality pictures for as little money as possible.
