Best Shooting & Great Story: Halo Infinite First Scores

Today, December 6, the official embargo on the publication of reviews on the much-anticipated video game Halo Infinite has been lifted, so many reviews have appeared on the network both from various specialized publications who have shared their opinions on the project’s single-player campaign. It is worth recalling that the developers presented the multiplayer component much earlier, and it instantly received many positive comments from gamers and the media. As expected, the release of the single-player game turned out to be quite successful – the majority of foreign journalists gave the shooter high marks, and the average score on Metacritic is currently 87 points.

For example, journalists really liked the implementation of the open world, which was presented for the first time in the history of the Halo franchise. Many gamers feared that the big world would negatively affect its content, but, as it turned out, this is not at all the case – the locations look very nice, they are interesting to explore for collectibles and audio recordings. At the same time, no one really forces the gamer to do something according to the template – you can independently choose tasks, complete sidequests, clear enemy bases or look for boxes for upgrading your character.

The reviews also say that the developers managed not to plunge the gameplay into the sea of grind – the player may well refuse secondary tasks and collect resources, but he will still be able to go through the storyline to the end. But if you want to learn more, spend extra time in the game, or just study the map down to the pixel, then there is such an opportunity too. And, of course, the shooting, which was so praised in multiplayer, turned out to be just as pleasant in the single player campaign – the weapon is felt in the hands, there are characteristic sounds and the possibility of an upgrade. However, Halo Infinite has a couple of minor problems.

Firstly, the cooperative that is familiar to the franchise at the time of release will not be – it is promised to be implemented in 2022, but the exact date is not named. Secondly, in the reviews, the storyline is almost never described, apparently, according to Microsoft’s instructions not to tell spoilers, but this element of the project did not receive specific praise. And, thirdly, the constructor mode called The Forge was also cut out from the release version of the game – again, they promise to add it later, without naming a specific date.

Halo Infinite’s single player campaign will launch on December 8th on PC and two generations of Xbox.
