The singer Beto Lee 47, son of Rita Lee (1947-2023) and Roberto de Carvalho 71, revealed how the father has coped with grief after the singer’s death in May 2023, at the age of 75. At the time, the artist was battling lung cancer.
“My father is doing great, he’s moving on, we’re moving on. Every hour he surprises me, showing me his stuff, he’s back to playing, composing, he’s released a new song,” said Beto Lee on the Domingão com Huck program, on TV Globo, this Sunday (28).
The guitarist was at the attraction with his band, Titãs, formed with Tony Bellotto, Sérgio Britto, Mário Fabre and Branco Mello, away for tumor removal.
Beto Lee was also invited by the presenter, Luciano Huck, to return to the Sunday show alongside his father. The musician is the firstborn of Rita Lee and Roberto de Carvalho. Besides him, the couple had two other sons: João, 45, and Antônio, 43.
On social media, the singer’s widower often shares photos of himself with the artist, at different stages of the couple’s life.
