Authorities have launched an investigation into attempted murder and gang violence against the teenager near his school in a poor district of Viry-Châtillon, in the south of the French capital. According to a police source, the 14-year-old was beaten when he came out of his school by several people, who then fled. No arrests have been announced at this time.
