Bianca Balti lived a toxic relationship for three years, in which her desire to become a mother again was experienced under blackmail. The 37-year-old model, now that, however, is finally free, wanted to tell her experience with sincerity. So she on Instagram she explained that she had frozen some oocytes for this reason: «I did it last year, at the end of a relationship made up of toxic dynamics. I have decided to do not limit my possibility of becoming a mother again in the presence of that man and in a relationship in general“.
The ex-boyfriend who hurt her deeply is manager Sal Lahoudwith whom she ended the relationship early last year. The model is already the mother of two girls: Matilde (14 years old, with her first husband, the photographer Christian Lucidi) and Mia (6 years old, born from her second marriage, with Matthew McRae). But her desire for motherhood has always been very strong in her: “I felt it even when I was 20”. Unfortunately, however, she was not dating the right man, quite the contrary. “I knew he wanted to become a father sooner or later, and my desire to have more children was certainly no mystery.” Yet he has done nothing but use this argument as a blackmail: «He never asked me the question. He always assumed that I wanted to carry his baby. For three years, with phrases such as: “You are the best mother I’ve ever known”, she alternated with extreme ease: “If you behave like this, I won’t have a child with you”“. She did nothing but remind her that her love for her was conditioned: “Procreate was his choice of which I was a mere accessory“.
While he belittled her, he highlighted her supposed superiorities, telling her: «I am wealthy, sporty, I have an education; I’ll never have a problem finding a woman. ‘ On the contrary, she would never find anyone willing to start a family with a woman who already had two daughters: “A lot was spent arguing why I needed him, but he didn’t need me. He made sure I understood it and didn’t forget it. He talked to me about it in a calm, rational and logical way. And I, of course, believed him. I cried, I banged my head against the wall, I was desperate“.
Only thanks to psychotherapy Bianca Balti was able to put an end to the toxic relationship that was destroying her. So she understood that she had wasted time next to that man only for the desire to become her mother again: “The independence I needed was reproductive independence“. In March of last year she underwent treatment to freeze eggs in an American clinic: «For me it was a traumatic experience, because I only met the doctor on the day of the operation. And then I did it in a difficult moment of my life, because I didn’t have the support of a boyfriend, it was a time of pain for the separation ».
Even if her experience was not easy, she proudly claims it: «In my opinion it is the celebration of her own femininity. When you are young, you may want to do many things, then at some point it may be too late to become a mother. With this technique there is no danger of arriving too late. If I can still afford it and if they want it, I will give my daughters the opportunity to use it when they are grown up“.
