The Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas received today his first phone call from Joe Biden Following the inauguration of the US President in January, in the midst of the crisis between Israel and the Palestinians, his services announced in Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank.
Palestinian presidency spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeina said the communication was “important” without elaborating on the exact content of the conversation.
Biden sent an envoy to the region on Friday to help ease tensions.
