The American president Joe Biden Arriving in Poland began a long-awaited two-day visit, meeting the soldiers of the 82nd US Airborne Division.
This division, the last to leave Afghanistan last summer, is part of the forces deployed on NATO’s east wing to strengthen the US military presence since invasion of Russia in Ukraine.

Biden then, in a suit and striped shirt but no tie, sat among soldiers in a dining room to eat a slice of pizza.


“Thank you, thank you, thank you,” he repeated many times to the soldiers present. Smiling, he shook hands and took pictures, grabbing a phone to take a selfie.

“You are at the center of a battle between democracy and totalitarianism,” Biden said in a brief speech. “What you do is important, really important,” he said.
With this visit, the American president wants to symbolize, according to the White House, the United States’ commitment to protect NATO countries, an obligation that Joe Biden has repeatedly described as “sacred”.
