US President Joe Biden has said he “has not yet decided” whether to travel to Saudi Arabia, a week after leaving a “window” open for a visit to the Arab country.
According to Reuters, sources had said that Mr. Biden may have made a stop in Riyadh, during his trip to Europe and Israel in late June.
The White House has in the past described Saudi Arabia’s crown prince and powerful man, Mohammed bin Salman, as an “outcast” of the international community, following the assassination of a Saudi Washington Post journalist (and political opponent of the regime in 2018) in Turkey. most likely at the behest of the prince, as confirmed by the US Secret Service.
