THE Joe Biden placed for his resignation Boris Johnson from British Prime Minister and clarified that despite political developments, the US will continue to work closely with the UK.
“The United Kingdom and the United States are close friends and allies and the special relationship of our peoples is steadfast and unbroken,” Biden said in a statement issued by the White House.
“I look forward to continuing to work closely with the UK Government as well as our allies and partners around the world on a range of priority issues,” he adds elsewhere.
It also adds that “these include maintaining a unified and strong approach to support the Ukrainian people who are defending themselves against Putin’s brutal war against their democracy, as well as holding Russia accountable for its actions.”
