Joe Biden’s decision to pardon a drug dealer convicted of murdering a mother and her 8-year-old son caused an uproar in the US, even within the Democratic Party. Shortly before retiring from the White House, the former US president released 48-year-old Adrian Peeler, who was serving a 35-year sentence for the double crime he committed in January 1999 in West Virginia, from prison.
