The condition of US President Joe Biden, who was diagnosed positive for Covid-19, has improved since yesterday, his personal doctor announced today, in a letter released by the White House.
“Symptoms have improved,” Dr. Kevin O’Connor said, adding that the 79-year-old Democratic president was in tenths (37.4) on Thursday night but responded well to the paracetamol he was given. His temperature has now dropped to normal levels. He still feels tired, has a runny nose and cough, but his pulse, blood pressure and oxygen remain at “absolutely normal” levels.
Biden will continue to take the antiviral drug Paxlovid, as well as paracetamol and inhaled salbutamol if needed.
The doctor also called it “reasonable” for the president to take low-dose aspirin while he continues treatment with Paxlovid.
It is recalled that Biden is fully vaccinated and has received both booster doses.
