Yesterday in Moscow at all metro stations the Face Pay payment system was launched. And today the Moscow Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development has shared its first results.

The new payment method has proven to be very popular. In just one day since the launch of Face Pay, 25 thousand passengers have joined the payment service. A total of 3.5 thousand passes were performed. The most popular stations with Face Pay were Vystavochnaya, Komsomolskaya, Delovoy Tsentr, Baumanskaya and Prospekt Mira.

Recall that since July, the Moscow Department of Transport has been testing Face Pay in the metro with the participation of passengers. At first, the system worked only on the Filevskaya line, at the end of September Face Pay began working in test mode on all lines of the Moscow metro.

Deptrans also revealed the secret of a metro employee in a mask with an ironic inscription Big brother is opening doors for you, which was noticed by the most attentive in the photo reports and videos dedicated to the ceremonial launch of the Face Pay system. She turned out to be Elena Eremina, advisor to the head of the Department of Transport. Eremina commented on the event in the official Telegram channel of Deptrans:
Many people thought that my mask with irony about the “Big Brother” who opens the doors for you was Photoshop (or is it the intrigues of the reptilians who follow everyone;)). I take a special photo separately, passing through the turnstiles via Face Pay. And I want to ask: can you give the management an idea to sell such at the ticket offices of the metro? Write to @to_deptrans_bot, we will estimate the level of demand. ”

To join the innovation, you need to install the latest version of the Moscow Metro application and follow fairly simple instructions.
