When we watch a program like the Big Brother VIP we must always remember that the competitors whose movements we follow day by day often find themselves, perhaps in spite of themselves, to play a role which may not belong to him but which is necessary for the story to go smoothly. When we think, therefore, of a vippone like Edoardo Tavassi, i.e. the brother of Guendalina Tavassi, i.e. the person on whom the Mediaset reality shows seem to have decided to focus for a couple of television seasons now, we must not associate him solely and exclusively with his person, but also with the character who, for better or for badly, Edoardo found himself embodying to ensure that the phone kept ringing and the cone of light remained focused on him. Find it at Big Brother VIP it was, therefore, good news for some and bad news for others who imagined what Edoardo would have set up, partly due to his fuzzy character and partly due to his slightly brazen way of presenting himself with people.
Over the weeks Edoardo managed to divide the audience clearly: on the one hand those who think it should reach the final, and on the other who have managed to make the hashtag splash on more than one occasion #OutsideTavassi on Twitter without, however, having the desired effect, given that the disqualification never came. The latest “stunt” in chronological order that the detractors accuse him of concerns the not too idyllic relationship that the boy has with Antonella Fiordelisi, already heavily (and, we add, rightly so) reprimanded by Orietta Berti because of her contemptuous attitude towards all those who allow themselves to say something to help her correct her point. Well, in a video that went viral on the Net, at a certain point Tavassi is seen congratulating some boys who, stationed outside the Casa del Big Brother VIP, they shouted nastiness and insults towards the girl.
An attitude, this, which according to some would be worth the disqualification because Edoardo would have maintained a conduct evidently contrary to what he Pier Silvio Berlusconi recommended to Alfonso Signorini that, in fact, he tried to resort to cover through the expulsion of both Edoardo Donnamaria and Daniele Dal Moro. At the moment the production has not taken any measures, and we can perhaps imagine why: Edoardo Tavassi is, with his innumerable defects, a character very suitable for the Big Brother VIP because apparently devoid of filters and armor. His all too direct way of presenting himself is, for someone, a certain symptom of sincerity that it would be appropriate to protect, even if in our hearts we think Tavassi is also riding a character, that of the competitor who does not mind breaking the mold, which has brought him much good in the last two years. Where the truth is, of course, we don’t know, but it would be nice if, regardless of the roles that everyone carves out for themselves, respect was the starting point for being able to participate in a reality show. And commenting in an amused way the insults addressed to another competitor seems to us not only incorrect, but also a little cruel.
