“Big day” for the US: Fully vaccinated do not need to wear a mask

Another step towards the pre coronavirus Fully vaccinated in the US will make their living as they can leave behind the use of a mask.

US President Joe Biden on Thursday spoke of a “big day” in the fight against the new coronavirus pandemic, after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that those who have been fully immunized for COVID-19 no longer need to wear a mask. .

In a video he uploaded to Twitter, o Biden is addressed to Americans by saying “vaxxed or masked,” meaning either vaccinated or masked.

“If you are fully vaccinated, you no longer need to wear a mask,” he said. “Take off your masks! “You have won the right to do something that Americans are known around the world for: greeting others with a smile.”

“I think this is an important step, a great day”, he added, urging Americans who have not yet been vaccinated to do so without delay, as reported by AMPE.

“I beg you: protect yourself as the finish line. “You all know how dangerous this virus is,” he insisted.

“We will ‘get out’ of the health crisis and ‘we will rebuild our economy,'” he continued. “We will meet the joy again, we will smile again”, he continued and insisted on the spectacular progress that his country has made in the last months.

The CDC said earlier yesterday that they recommend that people who are fully immunized they no longer need to wear masks outdoors, nor in most of the interior, which will allow the country to return to normalcy.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has expressed hope that the new recommendation will push more Americans to get vaccinated. He also noted that people who have received both doses of their vaccines no longer need to adhere to the chosen social distance in most circumstances.

The new CDC recommendations come just 16 days after the previous ones, which stipulated that there would still be many restrictions even for those who have been fully immunized. The service, the most important public health service in the United States, was criticized in March for initially discouraging fully-immunized seniors from traveling by air to see loved ones.

CDC Director Rochelle Walinski explained that the new recommendations are based on greatly reducing infections, extending vaccination to younger people, including adolescents, and data on the effectiveness of approved vaccines against variant strains of the new coronavirus.

“We rely on science” Walinski assured.

However, people with health problems should consult their doctors before removing the mask, she added.

The use of masks has become a controversial issue that has divided Americans in the days of former Republican President Donald Trump, who initially downgraded the pandemic.

The United States is the country with the highest death toll from the new coronavirus on the planet, with more than 584,000 deaths from COVID-19 out of a total of 32.8 million SARS-CoV-2 infections.
