The Yandex team announced the release of a major interface update for the Yandex.Telemost mobile video conferencing service as part of the Yandex.Mail 360 suite of services.
In fact, Yandex.Telemost is an alternative to the super popular Zoom service, as well as Google Meet and the like. Last year, there was a big restart of the version of the service for computers, and now it’s the turn of the mobile one. Now the mobile application has a presentation zoom, presenter mode and the ability to add user images.
As noted by the developers, using the mobile “Telemost”, you can connect to a meeting from anywhere, for example, from a car or a cafe. In the presenter mode, the speaker will be clearly visible on the smartphone – he is shown larger than the others.
You can scroll through the list of participants to see who else is attending the meeting. And if you need to examine something, you can rotate the phone and the image will also rotate. On Android smartphones, you can zoom in further with your fingers.
The updated “Teleconference” allows you to quickly change the name and images of the user, the same feature appeared in the desktop version. In addition, users can now choose a camera: main or front.
The Yandex.Telemost app is available for Android and iOS smartphones. In the near future, new functions will appear in the Yandex.Disk and Yandex.Mail mobile applications, which also have a “Teleconference” section.
