The Yandex.Fueling team announced the launch of a major update of the service. Now, in Yandex.Fuel stations, you can find gas stations along the route, compare prices for them, and in one move select a gas station to fill the tank.
At the moment, innovations have begun to work in the new design of the Yandex.Fueling application for Android and iOS. Later the functionality will appear in Yandex.Navigator and Yandex.Maps.
When building a route, the application highlights the petrol stations with the required type of fuel, which are located on the right side of the road. It highlights the station with the lowest price and shows how different the prices of the others are. Thanks to this, you can easily choose the best option in advance and go there to refuel without turning off the intended path.
The service also has a filling up to a full tank. To do this, when choosing the amount of fuel, swipe the slider up and press “Pay”. By default, a full tank is 60 liters, like most passenger cars. But, if the tank is non-standard, the driver can change the number of liters in the settings. You only need to do this once, the application will remember the settings.
When filling up to a full tank, fewer liters can fit than ordered. Therefore, the service does not immediately charge money for fuel, but freezes it on a bank card. When the gas station reports the exact volume, the money for unused liters is defrosted.
