Biggest paçoca in the world breaks the record in Roraima; weighing scored more than 1 ton

The “biggest paçoca in the world” broke yet another weighing record in Boa Vista (RR). The delicacy reached 1 ton and 131 kilos, surpassing previous records that were also held by the capital of Roraima. An event, this Saturday (18), brought together the residents of the city to weigh the food, which was then distributed among the population.

The weighing was carried out with the help of a crane at the Boa Vista Junina 2022 event. The paçoca was placed in a setting that reproduces the traditional flour mills, common in indigenous communities and rural areas. A huge pan with an artificial oven simulated roasting.

The “biggest paçoca in the world” was distributed to the population in sealed packages, avoiding handling by those who served.

“We save this special moment for this last day, another record breaking of the Biggest Paçoca in the World. For us, it is a real joy to receive families from Boa Vista to enjoy this delicacy, which is typical of Roraima. Our Boa Vista Junina will be missed and next year there will be more news”, said the mayor of Boa Vista, Arthur Henrique.

Production

The entire resource for the production of the delicacy was applied to ingredients from the land. 22,000 bananas were used, in addition to the famous Roraimense water flour.

“The preparation started last Wednesday (15), with the receipt of the meat. After deboning and cutting into small pieces, it was taken to the wood-fired oven area for the second phase of the process. On the one hand, it was desalted. On the other, fry. After the meat was fried, it was taken to the forage, a machine adapted to shred it. In this phase, the mixture is made with 70% meat and 30% flour”, explained the city hall.
