Bill Murray was accused of “inappropriate behavior” on the set of Being Mortalwhich is filming these days and is almost halfway through shooting, and due to this report the takes have been suspended.
The production, Searchlight Pictures (Disney-related studios), sent an email to the cast and crew on the project explaining that they take the complaint seriously and want to investigate. The film is directed, written, produced and starred by Aziz Ansari (Master of None on Netflix) and was supposed to arrive in theaters in 2023. The news was reported by both Variety that Deadlinebut no further details have been leaked to understand whether the 71-year-old actor may or may not be banned from the project.
The magazine reports another episode, this time dating back to 2000, on the set of Charlie’s Angels: Murray would have shouted various insults at Lucy Liu at the time, when he realized that a scene had been rewritten without his knowledge. To the Los Angeles Times the actress recently said: “I defended myself and I don’t regret it.”
