There are those who called it parliamentary Vietnam and those who speak of entry into the arena, model gladiators. From the afternoon of 13 July the Ddl Zan is in the Senate. It is the most discussed bill of recent months: it is that of the law against homotransphobia, misogyny and skill. It has already been approved in the House with the votes of Pd, Leu, M5S and Italia Viva, but this majority is no longer compact in the Senate.
The critical points revolve around the school and thegender identity and the contact between the two. If the second point is the age-old question of the definition of gender and the possibility of identification in one other than the sex of birth. The school question is instead linked to the request to remember the day of May 17, the one against homophobia, in schools. Franks shooters excluded, if Italia Viva and Autonomie vote with Pd and M5s, the majority is: 168 votes against 151. If the opposite happens, the 25 votes of IV and Autonomie would lead to 176 those of the opposition.
Technically there is first the general discussion and then the one on the individual amendments. Without a majority, there is the risk that the text will be changed and that it will then return to committee and we must come back to the Chamber restarting the whole process without the certainty of the approval times. The position of most associations is certain Lgbt: no compromise as it was for the Cirinnà law. The text of the Zan Bill must be the one passed to the Chamber.
