Billie Eilish criticizes magazine for exposing her sexuality: “Who cares?”

Singer Billie Eilish criticized the Variety for exposing his sexuality during an event promoted by the magazine on Saturday (2).

“Thank you Variety for my award and also for bringing me out on the red carpet at 11am instead of talking about anything else that matters, I like boys and girls, leave me alone about this please, literally , who cares”, wrote the 21-year-old singer in a post on her Instagram on Sunday night (3).

During the event, Billie was asked on the red carpet about a recent interview with Variety in which she said she was attracted to women.

“I never felt like I could relate very well to girls. I love them so much. I love them as people. I’m attracted to them as people. I’m really attracted to them,” she said in an interview with the magazine last month.

During this weekend’s event, the singer admitted to having accidentally come out in the interview: “I didn’t know that people didn’t know. I just don’t believe it [em se assumir]. I’m like, ‘Why can’t we just exist?’ I’ve been doing this for a long time and I just hadn’t talked about it.”

“But I saw the article and thought, ‘Oh, I guess I came out today.’ OK nice. It’s exciting for me because I don’t think people knew, but it’s cool that they do,” Billie added.

However, the post on her social media on Sunday night seemed to demonstrate Billie Eilish’s certain irritation with the magazine’s attention to her sexuality, both in the interview and on the red carpet.
