Billie Eilish brought to light the negative aspects fame in a frank conversation on an episode of the BBC podcast Miss Me?, released this Monday (10).
The 22-year-old singer opened up about a personal experience of “ghosting” describing a situation in which a boy she was having a relationship with just disappeared of his life, without any explanation.
“It was literally unbelievable. To this day, he has never sent me a message again,” the star began in the interview.
“I was like, ‘Did you die? You literally died? “” He continued, admitting his surprise at the lack of response.
“It was someone I had known for years and we had something planned; on the day, on the phone, a plan. ‘Here’s my address, be there at 3pm’. I never heard from him again. Never. I couldn’t believe it,” he stated.
Billie shared her shock upon discovering that the young man in question was already in another romantic relationship.
“I didn’t know people still did that. I genuinely didn’t imagine people did that”, he lamented.
In the same conversation, the Grammy winner opened her heart by revealing the difficulties she faced in relation to friendships since she became famous.
“Well, I lost all my friends when I became famous. Suddenly, I was famous and I couldn’t relate to anyone. It was challenging. It was very difficult”, he said.
