Investigation against a Czech billionaire recorded on video running at speed 417 km / h its judicial authorities started today Germanywhere drivers are “advised” not to run more than 130 kilometers per hour on major highways.

However, Radim Passer “broke the records” as he videotaped himself running, in 2021, with dizzying speed she, at the wheel of a Bugatti Chironat noon, on a motorway between Berlin and Hanover, according to AFP.

In fact, he posted the video on his Youtube channel in mid-January, explaining that “many people asked us to upload pre-assembled material” of the vehicle, one of the fastest in the world, is broadcast by APE BPE.

Intervention of justice and the state (?)

The Stendhal (Saxony-Anhalt) prosecutor’s office, in particular, launched an investigation into his banned “individual” course driver. This category concerns a driver who “moves having developed inappropriate speed and in a manner contrary to the traffic code and careless”.

In a country known for its lack of speed limits on highways, the video has also sparked criticism and fueled public debate over possible limits.

The Minister of Transport, Phileleftheros Volker Vissingcondemned in statements to the German media, the behavior at the wheel of the billionaire and reminded that the absence of speed limits should be compensated by the fact that the vehicle should be constantly “under control”.

The leader of Lower Saxony, the Social Democrat Stephen Veil, promised to establish a limit. There are “many good reasons” for such a measure, he explained in statements to Der Spiegel, citing safety and a better protection of the environment.

The thorny issue of speed limits on highways was at the heart of the coalition’s negotiations in the autumn. The Social Democrats of the SPD and the Greens supported such a measure, but the Liberals their partners FDP opposite and prevailed.
