The TON ecosystem and Telegram messenger have been regularly attracting the attention of the crypto community lately. Amid their growing popularity, Binance reflected on what these projects actually are.
In a fresh report, the team at popular cryptocurrency exchange Binance shared what they think about the latest achievements and prospects of Toncoin (TON) and Telegram.
Binance Approves Toncoin and Telegram Collab
In a fresh report, the team of the popular crypto exchange Binance highly rated positive qualities of the Toncoin token and the Telegram messenger. Moreover, they are good both separately and in combination.
According to the trading platform, the connection between TON and Telegram is a transformative force that can change a wide range of sectors for the better. These include, among others, payment systems, decentralized finance (DeFi), content distribution, gaming, and social media.
Binance’s Opinion on Toncoin
Last week, the crypto exchange added the TON token to its listing for spot trading. Binance emphasized that as a young and innovative project, Toncoin has significant growth potential. This is especially true in two areas – creating a more decentralized environment, as well as building a more interconnected digital ecosystem.
The Open Network offers a flexible multi-chain architecture that ensures compatibility with various decentralized applications (dApps). Plus, TON is much more energy efficient compared to cryptocurrencies that operate on the basis of the Proof-of-Work (PoW) consensus mechanism – for example, Bitcoin (BTC).
And Binance’s opinion on Telegram
The ecosystem of the world-famous messenger has a lot of weight in the crypto space. Telegram’s large and active user base makes it an ideal platform on which to issue and distribute tokens.
As part of the latest update, the messenger for the first time has a built-in Web3 browser. Its peculiarity is that it supports not only regular sites, but also decentralized ones, thereby opening access to web3 to billions of users.
Telegram’s most notable achievement is that it has become a new center for crypto games. The messenger has even given birth to a new genre of such games — the so-called tapalki (clickers), which give the player the opportunity to earn real money for performing the simplest actions; for example, tapping on the screen. Among the most popular tapalki games are the founder of the genre Notcoin, TapSwap, Catizen and, of course, the undisputed leader Hamster Kombat.
How does TON feel?
The cryptocurrency platform announced the listing of Toncoin a little less than a week ago, on August 8. On the same day, TON trading began on Binance.
The exchange has labeled the cryptocurrency with a “monitoring tag.” This label is assigned to assets that demonstrate higher volatility and risks compared to other tokens, as they are in the early stages of development.
Since its listing on Binance, the token has been growing quite steadily — over the past seven days, its price has risen by 23.8%, and over the past 24 hours — by just over 11%. As of the time of writing, TON is trading at $7.06.
