Binance has removed access to trading BRC-20 “inscriptions” in its wallet

Binance has removed the marketplace for trading Bitcoin “inscriptions” from the Web3 wallet. This was reported by customer support.

Access to trading BRC-20 “inscriptions” disappeared with the release of the Binance Web3 Wallet update and its rebranding into Binance Wallet.

According to the company’s announcement, the update is aimed at simplifying the interface and user experience. However, there is no direct mention of removing the Binance Inscriptions marketplace from the wallet.

The termination of access was reported by customer support when one of the X users asked where the marketplace had gone.

“The Inscription market has been removed. Currently, you cannot buy and sell Inscription assets,” the service responded.

Users have the ability to view and transfer assets in the Inscription Center menu.

Binance launched the marketplace for trading “inscriptions” on February 1, 2024 as a built-in function in its own Web3 wallet. The solution was built on the basis of the UniSat platform API, designed for Ordinals protocol assets.

On December 5, Binance announced Bitcoin staking with the support of the Babylon protocol.
