Users consider cryptocurrencies as a way to earn money, projects – as an opportunity to attract adepts. However, the BINANCE report has opened a number of serious problems: a large number of bots, a fall in profits and a general decrease in confidence in the airdrod.
Previously, cryptocurrencies contributed to growth, but now they can become a burden. We understand whether the industry can correct the situation and return the trust of users.
What showed Binance analysis
The Binance crypto -tank studied the practice of distributing tokens (airrodov) and came to the conclusion: an ill -conceived system and poor communication lead to the disappointment of users and deceived expectations.
Some projects showed excellent results. Pudgy Penguins received the highest rating (10/10) from the community. Hyperlique deserved 9/10, generously rewarding users and setting new standards in Defi.
However, most of the airrods disappointed the participants. Redstone (RED) promised to allocate 9.5% of tokens to the community, but reduced a share to 5%, for which he received an estimate of 2/10. SCROLL AIRDROP in October 2024 failed due to the fuzzy rules for the selection of participants. The project received 3/10.
The case of Kaito is especially indicative: in February 2025, the project gave 43.3% of tokens to insiders and only 10% to the community. This led to mass sales and loss of trust in the project.
The Airrodov industry is pursuing serious problems. Bots massively collect tokens through Sibil-Farming, and technical failures, as in the case of Magic Eden in December 2024, strengthen users discontent. The opaque distribution rules and advantages for insiders to the detriment of the community undermine confidence in this tool.
Why are the Airrods fail
Binance analyzed the main causes of failures. Sudden changes in the rules for the distribution of tokens, like Redstone, are talking about poor planning. The opaque criteria for the selection of participants, like SCROLL, arouse suspicion of bias. The focus on insiders in the case of Kaito repels ordinary users, and the technical problems of Magic Eden turn the distribution of tokens into disappointment.
How to return trust
Binance offers several solutions. Projects must in advance clear criteria for the selection of participants and record the ratio of points to tokens. It is important to develop real interaction with the community, and not just give out digital assets.
Technical solutions will also help: onchain-monitoring and tools for checking real users, like Layerzero, are able to prevent manipulations.
The BINANCE report sounds like a warning: Airrods are able to democratize the distribution of wealth and strengthen the cryptocurrency, or turn into a catastrophe due to poor management and abuse.
