Binance Selects Turkey to Open First Customer Service Center

The world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange is launching a pilot project of a customer support center in the Republic of Turkey and plans to expand the list of countries of presence.

Binance has announced that Turkey has been selected for the first hub of its kind due to the high volume of traffic that the exchange captures in this jurisdiction. According to Similarweb, Turkey accounts for about 7% of Binance website visitors.

Turkish clients of the exchange, the company promises, will receive round-the-clock support through a mobile application. If the project shows its viability and benefits Binance, it is planned to open such centers in all countries where the exchange operates. According to CEO Changpeng Zhao, for now, the exchange provides support via text messages, but plans to add in-app calls in the future.

The company tries to avoid cases of fraud, therefore, it provides support only through the application on smartphones. The application should serve as a guarantee that the client really communicates with an employee of the company, and not with a scammer.

The Turkish pilot center should be another step in the expansion of the company in the Middle East. Binance previously obtained permission to operate in the capital region of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi. According to the representatives of the exchange, they want to move to a fully regulated activity as a provider of services related to cryptocurrencies.

Recall that earlier, the Bitoasis crypto exchange, founded in 2015, received approval from the Dubai regulator to work in the region, becoming the first regulated cryptocurrency exchange that serves clients in the Persian Gulf and the Middle East.
