The largest cryptocurrency exchange of Binance has announced the suspension of operations with Polygon (Pol) tokens in the Polygon network. The restrictions are related to the upcoming blockchain hard fork.

The restrictions will begin on July 1 at 07:00 UTC (10:00 in Moscow), the announcement says. The introduction of deposits and the withdrawal of crypto assets will be resumed after the update is completed as soon as the network confirms the stability of its work, Binance said.

The exact duration of the suspension of deposits and the withdrawal of assets is not specified. Users are recommended to complete the transactions in advance to avoid processing delays.

The first planned measures to change the Polygon ecosystem began in January. Polygon team told About the upcoming hardforte and two stages of updating POS-chain Polygon, which are planned to increase the stability and performance of the network.
