Biostar has unveiled the Racing Z690GTA motherboard for gaming systems based on 12th Gen Intel Core LGA 1700 processors, codenamed Alder Lake.
The manufacturer begins the description of the board by mentioning the appearance, which is designed to “set the PC apart from others,” and the 17-phase power subsystem.
The ATX board built on the Intel Z690 chipset includes four DIMM slots. Supports modules up to DDR4-5000 + (OC) with a total volume of up to 128 GB and a dual-channel configuration. System expansion options are provided by a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot that operates in x4 mode, and two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots. There are eight SATA 6 Gb / s ports and three M.2 slots for connecting drives. Two of them support M.2 Type 2280 PCIe drives (each slot has four PCIe 4.0 lanes). The third slot has PCIe 3.0 x4 and SATA 6 Gb / s interfaces. It supports M.2 Type 2242, 2260, 2280, and 22110 drives. If the SSD installed in this slot is equipped with a SATA 6Gb / s interface, one of the SATA 6Gb / s ports becomes unavailable. There is one more M.2 slot, but it is designed for the installation of a wireless module.
The board also includes a 2.5 GbE port, seven USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports and six USB 2.0 ports, HDMI 2.0, DP and DVI-D video outputs. The eight-channel codec ALC1220 completes the picture.
The manufacturer does not name the price of the board.
