“Bird”: new film starring Barry Keoghan, from “Saltburn”, gets trailer

THE MUBI released this Tuesday (16) the trailer for “bird “, new film starring Barry Keoghan (“Saltburn”). The production, which made its world premiere at Cannes Film Festival 2024 is written and directed by Andrea Arnold (“Big Little Lies”).

“Bird” follows Bailey (newcomer Nykiya Adams ), a 12-year-old girl who lives in an isolated area of ​​the United Kingdom. With a unique perception of the world, she sees nature, and especially birds, as symbols of freedom and lightness.

She lives with her father, Bug (Barry Keoghan), and brother Hunter (also newcomer Jason Buddha ), created alone. His father’s emotional absence makes Bailey look for other ways to fill the void he feels.

The film’s cast also includes Franz Rogowski (“Passages”), Jasmine Jobson (“Outbreak”) and Frankie Box (“Perfect 10”). In addition to Cannes, “Bird” was shown at the Toronto International Film Festival.

In Brazil, “Bird” does not yet have a release date.
