What is it about? Easier said than done (even if they really did): take a precious Birkin, dismember it into its various fine leather components, and make a couple of Arizona, cult model of the German brand of sandals with a monastic mood of great and timeless success that, in these days, has risen to the headlines for the interest shown by the luxury giant LVMH regarding its possible acquisition.
The result: a hybrid between the most sophisticated luxury and the most (anti) fashion accessories available, at a price that fluctuates between 34,000 and 76,000 dollars. To be purchased, of course, after a custom made order with which to choose the Birkin made with your favorite crocodile skin, between the white, red and black available. An idea so crazy that it should ring a bell in the marketing offices of the two brands. Because a collab like this (after those of the sandals brand with Valentino, Rick Owens and Proenza Schouler…) would really delight fashionistas from the 4 corners of the globe. If only it wasn’t a pure and, however ingenious, simple provocation.
