Bitcoin whale transferred 2000 BTC

Unknown large hodler translated 2000 BTC ($177.6 million at the current exchange rate) on the night of November 15, 2024. He received these assets as a reward for mining in 2010.

On-chain data shows that the user accumulated assets from multiple P2PKH addresses. They arrived at the 3AE1 wallet, after which they were sequentially distributed between dozens of other accounts.

In this regard, it seems unlikely that this is a sale of assets. But if this is true, then Hodler’s net profit was more than $177 million.

He received his assets as a reward for mining in 2010, when the rate of the first cryptocurrency was at $0.067.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading at $89,200. Whale has gained momentum amid the asset’s recent rally, during which it broke through the $93,000 level.

Some reviewers statedthat this is the first transaction of this whale in more than 14 years. However, according to Bitcoin.com News indicatedthat he carried out at least several transfers in 2024.

Their conclusions are based on the fact that the hodler uses the same scheme with the accumulation of funds from P2PKH addresses. According to the publication, since 2010 the whale has moved about 9,000 BTC.
