Gady Kohanov is pleased with the UK High Court's verdict denying Craig Wright's Bitcoin claim, saying that “Satoshi Nakamoto's anonymity not only adds to the romanticism and uniqueness of the first cryptocurrency, but contributes to the acceptance of the digital asset industry as a whole.”
“If the veil of mystery surrounding Bitcoin's creator is broken, it could shatter the idealized image of the cryptocurrency that many believe in. Introducing human error, coupled with past mistakes and a less-than-stellar creator's story, could tarnish BTC's reputation and undermine investor confidence. Thus, Bitcoin will be able to lose its mystery and attractiveness as a safe digital asset, explained Gadi Kokhanov.
The decision to hide the identity of Bitcoin's creator was deliberate at the time. And it “reflects a deep understanding of human behavior, as people tend to judge products solely by their creators, rather than evaluate the solutions that are offered.”
The High Court of Business and Property of England and Wales issued a final verdict in the Crypto Open Patent Alliance (COPA) lawsuit against Craig Wright on March 14, prohibiting the entrepreneur from impersonating the creator of Bitcoin.
