The average commission on the Bitcoin network has grown to $19.4, according to BitInfoChart figures. Reason: the Runes platform, which the creators are positioning as a simpler alternative to the Ordinals protocol, is due to be released at the end of April.

The main author of the platform is the programmer, creator of Ordinals itself, Casey Rodarmor.

Amid anticipation, commissions on the Bitcoin network have risen by $14 since the beginning of April.

According to Casey Rodamore, one of the main problems with tokens created based on the BRC-20 standard is the fact that they interfere with the normal operation of the network of the first cryptocurrency.

The Runes protocol aims to solve the problem by working offline and making transactions faster. Casey Rodarmore promised that the platform will be launched immediately after the Bitcoin network halving, which is scheduled to take place on April 19-20.

Earlier, the founder of Pomp Investments, Anthony Pompliano, said that due to its high-quality monetary principles, Bitcoin’s capitalization will exceed that of gold.
