Bitmain may stop selling hardware in China

Coindesk, citing its own sources, reports that the largest mining equipment manufacturer Bitmain may stop supplying devices to China.

The information is quite reliable – two sources are responsible for purchasing equipment in large mining pools, and the third is constantly working with Chinese miners. It is noted that in addition to restrictions on the sale of equipment in China, Bitmain plans to move most of its production facilities from Shenzhen to other countries.

Of course, this decision is due to the tightening of bans in China on mining and the use of cryptocurrencies. At the same time, official comments from Bitmain have not yet been received.

Note that now in China there are large-scale restrictions on access to cryptocurrency resources. Recently, the country’s authorities blocked access to Tradingview, CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap services. Many mining pools have limited work with Chinese miners, and large pools Sparkpool and Beepool have announced they will cease operations altogether. Alibaba also announced the termination of the sale of mining equipment on its platform.
