The Chinese manufacturer of mining equipment Bitmain has introduced a new model of the Antminer S19 Pro + Hyd ASIC miner, which features water cooling and increased hashrate.
According to message Bitmain, the hashrate of the new device will be 198 TH / s with a power consumption of 5445 watts. The efficiency will reach 27.5 joules per terahash. So far, the cost of the new device has not been reported. Deliveries of Antminer S19 Pro+ Hyd should start in May this year.
“The Antminer S19 Pro+ Hyd is equipped with the latest water cooling technology. Welcome to a new era of liquid cooling!” the company wrote on Twitter.
Note that the manufacturer recommends using a special Antspace HK3 container for placing Antminer S19 Pro + Hyd miners. This container is designed specifically for mining equipment and allows you to remove more than 1 MW of heat. Such a container can hold up to 210 devices.
One Twitter user asked when Bitmain plans to release next generation hardware. He recalled that Block Inc, founded by Jack Dorsey, is developing energy-efficient miners for bitcoin mining. Unfortunately, there was no response from the representatives of the company.
