One of the largest manufacturers of Bitcoin mining equipment in the world, Bitmain, intends to stop sales in China, writes CoinDesk.
Information about this was shared by sources, two of which buy equipment for large pools, and the third has been actively working with Chinese miners. In addition, Bitmain plans to move most of its production from Shenzhen to other countries to comply with regulatory requirements, all three sources said.
Bitmain was founded in 2013 and became one of the first manufacturers of specialized integrated circuits (ASICs) for bitcoin mining. Their appearance allowed miners to significantly expand the scale of their activities and led to a rapid increase in the complexity of mining.
Also yesterday it became known about the closure of the fourth largest Ethereum pool, BeePool. The service intends to stop activities on October 15 “in response to the latest regulations.” Earlier, a similar statement was made by the largest Ethereum pool SparkPool.
