The Presnensky District Court of Moscow appointed Valeria Fedyakina, known under the nickname of Bitmama, a punishment in the form of seven years of colony of general regime in the fraud case. It is reported by TASS.
Fedyakin was found guilty under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code (fraud on an especially large scale). The state prosecution requested up to 10 years in prison.
The court ruled that the accused offered the victims of investment in cryptocurrency with high profitability, but instead of investing, appropriated funds to herself. The damage was estimated at 2.2 billion rubles.
For potential compensation, the assets and property of the press were arrested. Bitmama herself did not plead guilty.
The criminal case against Fedyakina was initiated at the request of her business partner Galik Gulakian.
The entrepreneur located at the sixth month of pregnancy was detained on September 15, 2023 in Moscow. Due to the presence of a residence permit in the UAE, the court sent her to the metropolitan pre-trial detention center No. 6, where she gave birth to a daughter.
Recall, the BITOK service has identified key addresses related to Bitmama. According to analysts, about 20% of the total volume received on the wallets of Fedyakina Assets are associated with the Russian crypto -tanks GaratEx.
