Asset manager Bitwise has shared a list of ten very optimistic predictions for the cryptocurrency market for 2025.
Bitwise experts expect that by the end of next year the price of Bitcoin (BTC) will reach $200,000. Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL) will also update their all-time highs (ATH).
An extremely successful year for crypto
According to Bitwise representatives, 2025 will be a very favorable year for the crypto industry. In addition to Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana hitting new highs, experts believe Coinbase will join the S&P 500 and MicroStrategy will join the Nasdaq-100. This will add cryptocurrencies to the portfolio of almost every American investor.
The forecasts have already begun to come true. ETF analysts at Bloomberg expect MicroStrategy to list on the Nasdaq-100 by Dec. 23.
Since the start of 2024, MicroStrategy’s share price has risen nearly 450%. Against the backdrop of Bitcoin’s rise to $100 thousand, Michael Saylor’s company entered the top 100 public companies in the United States.
Bitwise also predicts that the number of countries owning BTC will increase next year. This also seems very likely. It is already proposed to create Bitcoin reserves in Russia, Brazil and Canada.
Other Bitwise predictions include:
- Bitcoin spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the US will attract more capital than in 2024;
- Coinbase will become the most expensive broker in the world, and the price of shares of the crypto exchange will break through $700 per share;
- at least five US crypto companies will conduct an initial public offering (IPO);
- agent tokens with artificial intelligence (AI) will surpass memcoins and become the main trend in the market;
- capitalization of the stablecoin sector will double to $400 billion;
- the value of tokenized real world assets (RWA, or Real World Assets) will jump to $50 billion as investors attract Wall Street.
Representatives of the asset manager also shared a bonus forecast according to which Bitcoin will overtake the gold market by 2029. By then, the price of BTC will reach $1 million per token, they believe.
Exactly a year ago, Bitwise released a similar list of predictions for 2024. Analysts correctly predicted the rise of Bitcoin above $80 thousand, the approval of spot BTC-ETFs in the US, the reduction of commissions on the Ethereum network, the emergence of AI agents and the excitement around prediction markets.
