Brazil is a country where there is racism but nobody admits to being racist. Despite the diagnosis of the disease, the virus is not always identified.
Thus, there is really no disease that goes away, neither with medicine, nor with 134 years of the end of slavery. For some time now, we have been living as denialists in the racism pandemic. The body succumbs to the most cruel symptoms, anxiety, low self-esteem, depression and, in this social medicine, it is proven that the victim can even die from racism.
This can happen at the exit of a supermarket, it can be confused by the security guards; it can happen in a police approach; in the entrance exam queue; in job selection; or anywhere else in the country.
And this only occurs because the virus is still there, relating to the healthy and those with low immunity, susceptible to repeating bad behaviors.
Racism is like a virus that catches. If one does it and, for him and those around him, everything is fine, the other may think that everything is fine and do the same.
Racism is wrong and criminal behavior that unfortunately inspires plagiarism. In the pathological analogy, it is as if we made a point of being or remaining sick. No racist lets go of anyone’s hand, they take to the streets without a mask.
And so walks humanity, that of human consciousness, in which all are equal, even if some are more equal than others.
The 20th of November is precisely for everyone to face black consciousness, in which it would be wonderful if the world of equals existed, but that of reality exhibits abysmal distances between these people with white skin and black skin because some live and others survive; some grow and others fight not to be shrunk.
November 20th is a day to remember what racism is and how to fight it.
November 20th is a call to good communication, not to even look like a racist.
It is a date of respect and dignity, which the Constitution says is human, even if, in practice, it is not lived by everyone.
