NASA’s GOES-East satellite captured yesterday’s solar eclipse from space. This is reported by Space.com.
As noted, the eclipse was partial: the Moon was too far from the Earth to completely cover the Sun. From the surface of our planet, the bright edge of the Sun was visible, which resembled a ring of fire.
However, everything looked different from space. The NASA GOES-East satellite was located between the Moon and the Earth and filmed how the lunar shadow constantly moves along the surface of the planet, passing in front of the Sun and blocking its rays, they write in the publication.
For comparison, you can look at the NASA photo, how the eclipse looked from Earth for the inhabitants of the United States.
