Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro – Super 35 Camcorder with EF Lens Mount

Blackmagic Design has announced the release of the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro, which supports both 4K and 6K video. This is a Super 35 size sensor camera with an EF lens mount and is an upgrade from the 2019 Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K

The most measurable differences from the original model include a tiltable LCD touchscreen display, a built-in variable ND filter, a second mini-XLR audio input, and another battery.

The said display is characterized by a size of 5 inches, a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a maximum brightness of 1500 cd / m2.

The built-in ND filter can be set to 2, 4 and 6 EV. According to Blackmagic, it works not only in the visible range, but also in the infrared.

The power source now uses the Sony NP-F570 battery, which is widely used by manufacturers of cameras, lighting devices and other video accessories. This, in particular, has improved battery life compared to its predecessor, which used the Canon LP-E6 battery.

Another innovation is the fifth generation of color rendering technology pioneered in the Blackmagic Design URSA Mini Pro 12K camera. By the way, the manufacturer promises to release a corresponding firmware update for Pocket Cinema 4K and 6K cameras in the coming months.

Additionally, there will be an external viewfinder that attaches to the top of the camera and comes with four interchangeable eyepieces, and a Pro Grip that holds two NP-570 batteries instead of one.

Like its predecessor, the camera is priced at $ 2,495. The viewfinder is $ 495 and the battery grip is $ 145.
