Blake Lively reveals how Ryan Reynolds won her over: “Flowers every week”

The actress Blake Lively 36, revealed that Ryan Reynolds 47, sent her a bouquet of flowers every week early in their relationship, accompanying the arrangements with a card containing a “brief quote.” The couple met in 2010 while filming the movie “Green Lantern” and walked down the aisle in 2012.

In an interview with People, Blake, who has four children with the Deadpool actor, James, 9, Inez, 7, Betty, 4, and Olin, 1, detailed her partner’s “sweet” gesture, sharing the affection involved in the weekly messages.

“When my husband and I first started dating, he would send me a bouquet of flowers every week, but he would always send a card, which would have a quote about something that had happened that week — a funny or emotional moment that one of us had shared. It was like a little weekly quote. It was such a romantic and special gesture. Now we have 4,000 children!” the actress joked.

In a recent interview with The Sun, the actress shared the “affectionate” nickname Ryan uses for her: “knight in shining armor”. The protagonist of “This is how it ends” admitted to loving the choice, as it subverts traditional gender stereotypes.

“My husband calls me his knight in shining armor, which I think is really sweet because we usually only hear men described that way.”
