Blanco is in love: the second album is coming (after the Sanremo controversies)

And finally the announcement came. After so many rumors, it’s official: the April 14th will come out second album Of Blanco. Is titled In love and also contains a song in collaboration with mine, A bit of joya single that will also be featured in the new work by the Italian music legend.

The cover of has also been revealed In love, written and composed by Blanco and Michelangelo: it portrays the singer in his underwear (his most traditional look) who seems to be suspended in the clouds. The photo was taken by Chilldays in the Bolivian desert Salar de Uyuni.

This is the second album but also the first official release after the Sanremo affair, after that scene that has already entered the history of the Festival, with him kicking and destroying the scenography full of roses on stage after a problem with the headphones. Blanco then entrusted his apology to Instagram, but never spoke of the matter again.

It is a shared opinion that there has been damage to his image, even if the fans – who by definition are fans – have always defended him, certainly now Blanco is at a decisive moment in his career. «The second album is always the most difficult in an artist’s career»: whoever is of the right age will remember this line from a song by Caparezza, which ironically repeated a cliché which however contains a basis of truth. With In love he will have to confirm everything he has demonstrated so far and which has paid off: 54 platinum records, 2 gold records, over 2.6 billion streams on platforms, a 35-date tour that has gone entirely sold out, the announcement of two unmissable stadium appointments (July 4 at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome and July 20 at the San Siro stadium in Milan).

No details were given about the album’s mood or theme, but the title suggests a love album. We await the enamored Blanco.
