Blinken on China-Taiwan tension: Washington is against any attempt to change Taipei

The US opposes any unilateral attempts to change its regime Taiwan -especially by force- and they have not changed their policy regarding this island, as the American Foreign Minister informed today, Anthony Blinkenhis Southeast Asian counterparts.

Stability on both sides of the Taiwan Strait is in the interest of the entire region, Blinken said from Cambodia where he is based, adding that Washington is willing to listen to ideas from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) on how it could cooperate with the Quad countries (Japan, India, Australia and the USA).
