US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken admitted yesterday that he is not sure if Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is willing to compromise to reach an agreement to normalize relations with Saudi Arabia. “I can't tell you whether Israel, whether it's the prime minister or the country as a whole, is ready right now for what would be necessary to bring about a normalization” of relations with the Sunni kingdom, said Mr. Blinken was asked about it during a congressional hearing. “Because of this it will be required to end (the war in) the Gaza Strip. And that requires a credible path to (establishing) a Palestinian state. Are they able and willing to do so at this time? I don't know,” he said.
