Blinken warns Iran of ‘nuclear crisis’ and increased ‘isolation’

Iran must cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and provide technically reliable information in response to the IAEA’s questions, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said today.

Negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program can only be completed if Tehran abandons its extravagant demands, Blinken said, as Iran began removing 27 surveillance cameras from its nuclear program, torpedoing dialogue with the international community.

The United States has warned that Tehran’s latest “challenges” threaten to lead to a “nuclear crisis” and “increased economic and political isolation of Iran.”

“We continue to urge Iran to choose the path of diplomacy and de-escalation,” he said.
