The leaders of the Group of Seven will pledge to provide indefinite support to Ukraine in its defense against the Russian invasion, according to a draft joint statement of the Summit in Bavaria.
“We will continue to provide financial, humanitarian, military and diplomatic support and will stand by Ukraine for as long as necessary,” the draft text of support for Ukraine said.
“As we do this, we are committed to demonstrating global responsibility and solidarity through our efforts to address the international impact of Russian aggression, especially on the most vulnerable.”
The text, seen by Bloomberg, is a draft of at least one of at least four joint statements that G7 leaders intend to make along with the traditional announcement.
G7 leaders are also weighing the possibility of using customs revenues to support Ukraine, according to the document.
