THE Blue Origin announced this Thursday (27) the release date of the 11th human flight from the New Shepard Ship (NS-31), which will take the pop singer Katy Perry 40, to space.
The vehicle will take off from Texas in the United States on April 14, scheduled for 10:30 pm GMT. In addition to the date, the company released the mission emblem, which has a symbol representing each mission member – the first with a team formed only by women.
In the image, the singer is represented by fireworks, reference to her hit hit hit, and her “global influence on music, pop culture and philanthropy,” the company said in a press release.

In the crew list, besides Katy Perry, is journalist Lauren Sánchez, 55, Jeff Bezos girlfriend – the owner of Blue Origin.
Katy was chosen for being, according to the company, one of the best -selling artists of all time and with over 115 billion plays on streaming platforms.
Blue Origin has been investing in the sending of tourists to the space, being the tenth launched in late February. The flights were known to send the younger woman to go to space, 21 -year -old astronaut Karsen Kitchen.
