Blue Studios and Unstoppable Domains have introduced the Wallio crypto wallet, which allows groups of users to jointly manage digital assets and use Web3.
Wallio positioned like a family wallet. It allows a family member with administrator status to set spending limits, savings goals, and approve transactions. The wallet can be used to monitor children’s exposure to Web3. Unstoppable Domain SVP Sandy Carter in an interview informedthat the desire to help his family prompted him to launch Wallio:
“My daughter-in-law, who works as a school teacher, was trying to transfer cryptocurrencies and mixed up ethers and US dollars. As a result, she almost transferred about 1,000 ETH. Fortunately, she asked for help, and I saw her mistake in time.
The wallet structure allows families to function as Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs). Members can vote where to invest the joint capital, manage the budget and savings goals.
For example, parents can use their voting power to cancel a child’s attempt to invest all of their assets in GameFi. Acting as the wallet administrator, they can set budgets for each family member and prohibit third-party funding to Wallio.
Unstoppable has integrated its “.crypto” domain names to be used instead of a long passphrase to log into wallets.
“One of the biggest mistakes users make is that they mistype a string of letters and numbers. So, logging in will activate a domain like Sandy.crypto. I can just enter Sandy.crypto, I don’t have to enter this very long string that makes me log in errors,” explains Sandy Carter.
Wallio is positioned as the goal of training in working with digital assets. Blue Studios will implement its “play to earn” and “learn to earn” technologies, which will allow families to play games and complete tasks to earn Ether.
